The Dangers of Too Much Sugar in Your Diet
Consuming too much sugar can have negative effects on the body. Here are some of the dangers of too much sugar:
- Weight gain: Eating too much sugar can lead to weight gain. This is because sugar is high in calories and can cause you to consume more calories than you need.
- Increased risk of chronic diseases: Consuming too much sugar can increase the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and fatty liver disease.
- Higher blood pressure: A high-sugar diet has been associated with higher blood pressure.
- Inflammation: Consuming too much sugar can cause inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is linked to many diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
- Cognitive decline: Eating too much sugar may worsen cognitive decline.
- Kidney damage: For people with diabetes, too much sugar can lead to kidney damage
- Cavities: Consuming too much sugar can cause cavities.
- Mood disorders: Higher sugar intake has been linked to increased rates of depression and mood disorders in males.
- Bloating: Certain types of sugar may cause bloating and gas in people who have digestive conditions, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
- Increased hunger: Eating too much sugar can lead to increased hunger and weight gain.
- Fatigue: Consuming too much sugar can cause fatigue and low energy levels.
- Irritability: Eating too much sugar can lead to irritability.
To reduce sugar intake, it is recommended to focus on eating whole, unprocessed foods and to cut back on sugar whenever possible. Remember too that carbohydrates (like rice, potato, bread) break down into sugar. So an effort to reduce sugar needs to factor that in.

The A B Cs of Dieting
There are endless dietary supplements and diet programmes (weight loss) on the market these days. In this sea of choices it is very difficult for an individual to choose and find one which works effectively to shed those extra pounds.
The truth is that when it comes to weight loss, persons want instantaneous results. This is true especially for females who are more concerned about their physical image and appearance. Some desperately desire the slender, sleek look of movie stars or super models that the media regularly portrays as the epitome or standard of beauty. Others are just seeking to fulfill short term goals such as losing weight for upcoming events such as a wedding or a high school reunion. Whatever the motivation, persons generally want real results and they want it fast.
This is the reason behind the appeal for many crash diet programmes. The word crash suggests something intense and rapid. We can use a car crash as an example. Speeding is a common factor in car crashes and major damage is usually the result. Thus when we dissect a crash diet we are generally thinking about losing many pounds in a very short space of time. The reality is that this rapid approach to weight loss is usually very harmful as it is not consistent with how our bodies function.
Information is key when embarking on any diet or weight loss programme. Using the word ‘diet’ as an acronym, some basic information will be presented that will assist you in achieving your weight loss goals.
D – Doctor’s first advice: get a general check up to ascertain the state of your health. This should include blood pressure checks, heart checks and blood sugar level checks (glucose levels). Your weight and height should be measured and your BMI (body mass index) should be calculated to determine if you are within a healthy BMI range. Your BMI is a measurement of your body fat based on your age, height and weight.
I – Information about different food groups and their caloric content will be vital. Common sense tells us that if we consume more calories on average than we use up, then we are going to put on weight. Take notice of the caloric content of the foods you consume daily. Foods that are high in calories should be avoided or eaten in moderation. Foods that fall into this category are usually processed foods with saturated fats or refined sugar, such as pastries and baked products. Eggs, butter, ice-cream and cheese are also examples of high calorie foods. Fruits and vegetables are generally low in calories and are chocked with vitamins and minerals. Eat freely from these food groups (unless your doctor advised you otherwise). Another strategy would be to eat frequently throughout the day, such as every three to four hours, but eat small portions of food. This tends to keep your metabolism running constantly. Research information on all food types. There are many websites that provide information on the calories that can be found in various foods and they also have handy tools such as calorie calculators, among other things.
E – Exercise is a must! Exercise boosts your metabolism to help you burn off excess fat and weight. It also alleviates stress, builds endurance, bones, muscles and improves your immune system and physical appearance. Develop an exercise regimen that is both doable and effective. Exercise at least three times per week and gradually work your way up to five workouts for maximum effect. Cardio exercises are great, but incorporate weight training to boost your results and to target and tone those trouble spots. You do not need gym membership to begin your exercise programme. There are many free exercise programmes online. Weights do not have to be purchased from a fitness store. Simply use cans from your cupboard or water filled gallon bottles and you are good to go.
T- Finally, T is for Tenacity. Stick to the task. You may feel like quitting at times, but have a firm vision in your mind of fitting into that dress or jeans and then work towards that goal. A leaner you will be a healthier you and the bonus is that you will probably be more attractive as well. No crash diets. You simply have to consistently do the necessary things to eliminate that unwanted fat, gradually. Persevere and your rewards will be huge.

Can Parsley Induce Menstrual Period?
Parsley is a well known kitchen herb as it is frequently used as a garnish for many dishes. It is also widely used as flavouring in salads and soups. Many persons believe that these are the only uses of parsley. But this herb has so much more to offer and it was a desperate situation that made me aware of other benefits. I had a special celebration to attend for about one week and I was due to see my period during that week. I hate altering the course of nature but I began to explore ways in which I could delay my period. Unfortunately I was not too keen on most of the options as nearly all of them required some type of hormonal use.
My research on the subject made me aware of another alternative. Instead of delaying my period I could induce it to come early and get it out of the way before my celebration. One of the solutions for inducing the menses was a strong tea of parsley. Ginger is claimed to be helpful too. Persons have claimed to drink several cups of the tea per day for several days before their menses and were successful in getting it to come early. One person reported that her menses came within a day of drinking parsley tea.
I decided to give this parsley thing a shot. Five days before I was due to see my period I brewed some parsley tea and even added some ginger to it for good measure. I drank several cups per day for two days and got impatient when I had no success. This does not mean that the claims about parsley are not true. It was emphasized that the parsley leaves had to be fresh and the tea had to be strong solution. These two factors could have contributed to my failed attempt at inducing my period. For what it is worth while I was drinking my concoction of parsley and ginger I experienced feelings in my stomach that were similar to the ones I would have just prior to my period. In addition my period came at the appointed time, but it was not as heavy and it ended a little earlier than usual.
I am tempted to believe that there may be some truth to the effectiveness of parsley tea in inducing one’s period. Who knows, perhaps patience was my biggest obstacle.

The Healing Wonders of Herbs – Polygonum Multiflorum
Polygonum muliflorum is a herb native to China and is commonly known as Fo ti root. It also goes by the name He Shou Wu. Rich in zinc and other trace elements, it has an unpleasant taste that many would describe as pungent. The herb is considered phenomenal, particularly in the orient, where it is revered for its positive impact on longevity of life. Fo ti root is said to possess anti-aging properties and is a regenerator of the nerves, brain cells and the endocrine glands. It detoxifies the body and strengthens the liver and kidneys. It lowers cholesterol and is useful in ailments such as constipation, eczema, scrofula, carbuncles and inflammation of the lymph nodes.
Fo ti root is a blood enhancer. Consumption of the herb is also said to boost sexual vitality in both men and women. Men reportedly will experience more staying power and can expect increased sperm production. Due to its blood building capability it is said to increase the fertility of women.
One of the more popular uses of He Shou Wu root however is in hair troubles. It is said to aid persons who have difficulties with hair loss. In fact it is so effective that it increases hair growth all over the body. Hence one must be careful in using it for this purpose as hair spurts may occur in undesirable locations. Nonetheless, it is better acknowledged for being able to reverse gray hair, especially the premature grays. The studies done in this area have yielded results where a significant number of the consumers of fo ti root were reported to have witnessed complete reversal of their gray hairs. Others in the study saw partial reversal of their graying hair. Fo ti has to be used for an extended period for this kind of change to take place and it also has to coincide with other lifestyle modifications.

Amla – Benefits and Uses
Amla is the name of a fruit also referred to as Indian gooseberry which is mainly found in India. It is about the size of a lemon, spherical, bitter and yellow-green in colour. Amla is an important element in the age old tradition of ayurvedic medicine. Its value undoubtedly stems from its rich store of vitamin C (approximately the equivalent of ascorbic acid found in two oranges). In fact it is believed to be the richest natural source of vitamin C around, making it a very powerful antioxidant which combats free radicals and aids the anti-aging process.
Apart from vitamin c, amla’s nutritional composition includes water (more than 80%), protein, carbohydrate, fibre, minerals (chromium, zinc and copper) and other vitamins. It also contains Gallic acid which is a potent polyphenol. The uses of amla are varied. Amla is used to treat constipation, ulcers and scurvy. It regulates blood sugar levels and is therefore beneficial to diabetics. Pregnant and lactating mothers and those with memory issues will find it useful. It fortifies the heart and rejuvenates the organs of the body. The juice in combination with honey aids in conjunctivitis and glaucoma. It is also said to be help in ailments such as bronchitis, asthma and tuberculosis of the lungs.
Amla is also becoming increasingly popular in the beauty industry and is presently a significant part of women’s hair and skin care regimens. It has cell rejuvenating properties and is effective in clearing the skin of infections. Amla powder or amla oil, which are applied externally, promotes hair growth by strengthening the hair roots and preventing hair fall, which eventually results in longer, thicker hair. Amla also darkens the hair and is useful in preventing the premature graying of hair and some believe can even reverse gray hair. Amla powder can be used alone or in combination with other ayurveda powders to nourish and condition the hair. The powder is used either as a hair rinse or paste which is later washed off. Amla oil is applied to the scalp usually as a pre-shampoo treatment, but if left on the scalp overnight does wonders to induce sound sleep.

Neem Soap with Neem Oil – A Wonderful Ayurvedic Product
Neem soap is a wonderful ayurvedic product that is beneficial in skin related complaints. Most neem soaps have pure neem oil as their base. In some cases the neem oil as well neem leaves are used in its production. This is a winning combination in neem soap making as it means the soap retains all the essential properties of neem. Pure neem oil and neem leaves have antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. It is the antimicrobial qualities of neem that underscores neem soap’s excellence as a remedy for skin complaints.
Neem soap is commonly used as a treatment to clear up acne and acne scars. Some acne treatments are pretty harsh and drying to the skin. But Neem soap for acne gently cleanses the skin without stripping away natural oils. Added ingredients combine with neem to also soothe, moisturize, tone and leave the skin aglow. (See also Neem -A Cheap Natural Acne Treatment).
The soap works deep within the pores of the skin to remove fungi, parasites and germs. The medicinal value of neem soaps is useful in other skin problems such as rashes, eczema, cuts, abrasions, boil and psoriases. It is also helpful in treating lice and dandruff. In this regard it is regarded as safe for use on humans and pets.
Neem soap is a great alternative to the direct use of pure neem oil. Apart from the fact that neem soaps contain the same useful properties of pure neem oil, the smell factor is largely more tolerable than in the case of the latter. Pure neem oil has a rather unpleasant odor. Although this forms the base for neem soaps the smell is not an issue in the soaps because other ingredients such as essential oils or fragrant oils are usually added to mask the strong neem scent and enhance the overall effective quality of the soap. Even if the neem odor is detected, which is usually subtle in neem soaps anyway, it generally does not linger after the soap is washed or rinsed from the skin.
In order to ensure that one gets maximum benefits from neem soaps it is important to purchase the right kind. The quality of neem soaps vary depending on the manufacturing process which most times dictate the neem oil content. Neem soaps containing about 20% neem oil are sufficiently strong for treating skin ailments. Sometimes the neem oil content can be as high as 30% – 40%, but cannot go much higher as the soap will have too oily a base. There are quite a few neem soaps on the market, but the handcrafted neem soaps generally guarantee that you will receive a more natural and superior variety of the product. For information purposes several neem soaps that appear to be of good quality are margo neem soap, limda neem soap, and dabur neem soap. So for great looking skin go right ahead and avail yourselves of neem soaps and shop around for the bargains.

Revitol Stretch Mark Cream -Does it work?
Does Revitol stretch mark cream work as it is advertised? I’ve been on a quest to find a stretch mark cream to remove stretch marks for sometime now. Having checked out the entry on this site about whether Trilastin System 2 removes stretch marks, and not seeing anyone reply, it leads me to doubt the effectiveness of that solution. So I want to focus here on the Revitol product on the market for stretch marks.
I want to be fair to the product, which in this case is Revitol Stretch Mark Cream. It wouldn’t be right to expect it to do something that it is not said to do. Therefore, I will highlight here what effects you can expect to get from using the product, according to Revitol.
The first thing to note is that the primary use advertised is that of prevention. The Revitol stretch mark cream is supposed to primarily prevent stretch marks. While pregnant women seem to be the main target audience for this cream, I would expect that it should still function in a similar manner for those who are prone to developing stretch marks, such as adolescents and body builders.
Now although prevention is what is stressed for what the cream is good for, it is also claimed that this cream is good for treating already existing stretch marks. However, unlike other products on the market, it is stated quite explicitly that it will not remove stretch marks completely. Here is a quotation from Revitol:
“A great product, such as our Stretch Mark Prevention cream, will significantly diminish the appearance of stretch marks, but we cannot guarantee they will be gone completely”
Fair enough. In judging this product, we should not expect that it will totally eradicate existing stretch marks. However, if it significantly diminishes the appearance of stretch marks, then that means there should clearly be a noticeable difference in using this product.
I submit that the basis on judging Revitol stretch mark prevention cream, is not so much on whether it prevents stretch marks, but on whether it really reduces existing stretch marks to any great extent. The reason why I would use this as the focal point in evaluating the product, as opposed to what it is primarily advertised as, is that it is really difficult to tell whether it did prevent stretch marks. For the fact that you are pregnant, does not mean that you will develop stretch marks without the aid of creams. Therefore, using the cream and finding that you did not develop stretch marks does not conclusively show that the cream worked, as there was a chance anyway that you would not have acquired stretch marks.
Revitol Stretch Mark Cream comes with a money back guarantee. However, as at the time of writing this, the conditions for which this applies were not clearly spelt out in the policy details. Hopefully this will soon be corrected.
Now I have not used Revitol stretch mark cream, and I do not know anyone who has. But I put this call out for any who has any experience with this product, to share your experience. I want this place to be for honest feedback. Affiliate links will not be allowed in any replies to this.

How To Reverse Gray Hair
Can grey hair even be reversed? The answer is a most definite yes. I know for certain because I have observed this with my own hair.
I’m still young (early 30s) but I have a lot of gray hair, though not very noticeable without close inspection. Nevertheless, it has bothered me that I’m going grey so fast. I therefore did some research to see if I could reverse what I would consider premature graying, which raised my hopes that there was a possibility to delay further greying, and even reverse some. I took some action and I did observe at least one gray hair reverse color. I know it reversed because I could see that it was black at the root but gray at the end. I’ll go into more details on what I did, and the results I got. But let me share some of the research I found on this subject.
What causes gray hair?
Hair follicles contain pigment cells which are responsible for giving color to your hair. These pigment cells are called melanocytes. As you age, they slow down until they totally stop working to produce color. This results in gray hair. The length of time for which the melanocytes continue to fully function is said to be hereditary. That is, the age at which you are likely to go gray is hereditary.
So if one of your parents went gray early, there is a strong chance that you will too (depending on whether you inherited the gene or genes responsible for the hair coloring cells from this parent). In my case, my father went gray quite early, so it seems I inherited this early graying from him.
Although it is expected that the melanocytes will eventually stop working as you get older, there are things that may contribute to premature failure of these cells, causing you to go grey ahead of time. The following are linked to premature gray hair:
- Thyroid disorders
- Smoking cigarettes
- Deficiency in vitamin B-12
- Early menopause
- Lack of copper
- Lack of zinc
- Weak kidney (Eastern medicine has long cited this as a cause for grey hair)
- Excess build up of hydrogen peroxide (see http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/29468796/?GT1=43001)
- Stress (this is a factor because one uses more of the minerals and vitamins necessary to preserve hair colour when under stress)
From the above, we can see that there are some things we can do to prevent premature gray hair, if not reverse the trend. For eg. Ensuring adequate vitamin B12 intake, along with sufficient copper and zinc, probably would help. If you smoke, then ceasing this practice may also slow down the graying process. Managing your stress is another thing you can take charge of.
Remedies said to Reverse Gray hair or slow its Formation
I cannot vouch for the effectiveness of any of these, but many have reported success using one of the following:
- Indian gooseberry also known as Amla. Some believe it is more preventative rather than curative. See Reverse Gray Hair Naturally for possible directions on how to use.
- Bee pollen. Again, this might more preserve natural hair colour than reverse gray hair.
- Blackstrap molasses. This is highly recommended by many, but others report no effect after taking it for up to 7 months. It is also said to strengthen the blood and kidneys. You might want to get some professional advice regarding taking this, as some feel it can cause kidney stones because of the calcium content. However there are things you can take with it to ameliorate this risk. Consult a doctor or nutritional professional to find out more on this.
- The herb Polygonum Multiflorum also called He Shou Wu. This may also have adverse side effects if not used in the right way, such as depression. Therefore you might also want to consult with a medical practitioner before you start using. At least do your research.
- Certain kinds of shampoo. More about this can be found at Gray Hair Shampoo
It is rumoured that the company Loreal has patents for certain solutions that will reverse gray hair. Time will tell. However, note that the popular story about a drug they developed called “Promel” that is purported to reverse grey hair is false.
Now I did mention that I have actually witnessed my own hair reversing colour going from gray to its natural colour, and I promised I would give more details on what I did and the results I got. When I initially did my research on this subject, I learnt about the important vitamins and minerals necessary for continual production of hair color. So I discovered that B12 and basically the whole B complex vitamins factored highly. I also read that paba is also necessary.
I therefore shopped for some B complex vitamins that contained paba. I started taking these. I also tried to eat an egg on most days, as I read that egg is a source of paba. Anyway, I did this for several weeks, often examining certain grey hairs to see if there was any change. After about 6 weeks, I did notice one particular grey hair begin to revert to it’s natural colour. I confess I am not absolutely sure if others reversed, though I do suspect a few others did.
My vitamins eventually finished, and I had some difficulty finding the same kinds, so I wasn’t able to keep this process up. I stopped being so concerned about my gray hair so have not actively been pursuing ways to reverse it. However, I believe I will be trying some of the purported solutions which I have referred to above. If and when I do, I will report back on the results I get. If you have any success or failure experiences of your own with any of these, please also report here so others can benefit.

A Cheap Natural Acne Treatment – Neem
I was doing some research on hair products and bought this hair oil that did wonders for my hair. I took note of the ingredients and did a bit of research on each one. The ingredient that really got my attention though was neem oil because I never knew about it before then.
Based on my research I gathered that it was the ingredient largely responsible for my satisfactory hair results. But I also learnt that neem was also useful for acne and skin infections. And so when I was online looking for hair products I came across neem powder packaged in a box. The actual name of the product is Hesh Naturoriche Neem Tone Powder. The write up introduced it as an ayurvedic blend that cures skin allergies, removes acne, acne spots and cures prickly heat. It was also said to add a glow to the skin. Neem soap is also available, but my experience is with the powder.
I had good results using the oil in my hair so I was eager to try the powder on my skin to see if I would get excellent results as well. I bought the powder. The results were exceptional. It worked just as well, better actually than the apple cider vinegar, as it was not as drying (a moisturizer is still needed).
In a few days the acne pimples began to disappear and it really did clear up the old acne scars too. They also were not joking about the glow to the skin, which was also evident. All one has to do is to take a small amount of the powder and add plain or rose water (I used plain water) to make a paste which should then be applied over the entire face and left on for about 20 minutes or until dry.
The face should then be rinsed off carefully with warm water and then cold water. Dry and apply your moisturizer of choice. I did this daily. It is now October 2009 and this remedy has been working well for me. I however now apply the paste every other day.
This remedy is also relatively inexpensive. I purchased a 100g box online for $3.49. This does not include shipping and handling. Indian groceries may stock this product and I believe one could get it for less than the online price. And of course there would be no shipping or handling fees to contend with. The 100g box lasted for about four months with regular use. I highly recommend this to any individual searching for a cheap, natural effective solution to their acne problem. Try it; you will not likely be disappointed

Natural Acne Treatments – Apple Cider Vinegar
In the latter part of 2008 I began scouring the net for cheap home remedies for acne. I read some information on the use of apple cider vinegar, which was to be diluted and applied to the face for a few minutes and then rinsed off.
I tried this one night, but ignored the part about diluting the solution. I also kept it on my face overnight and rinsed it off the next morning. I was pleased with the results. It appeared to have the effect of reducing the size of the pimples. I did this for a few days and I noticed that the pimples disappeared then. This became a nightly ritual for me and the results were generally pleasing.
There were drawbacks though. I found the apple cider vinegar very drying to my face so if one is going to use it then it must be followed up with a good moisturizer. Also, overtime it appeared to be a bit too harsh for my face, but this may have been because I was applying it undiluted. So there were a couple nights when I would forgo the treatment. Whenever I did this, the pimples would instantaneously reappear, albeit fewer in number.
This became my treatment of choice until around April 2009 when I discovered another remedy.

Natural Acne Treatments Introduction -Seeking Solution To My Acne Problem
Acne is a skin infection characterized by pimples and blackheads. The area of the skin most vulnerable to acne appears to be the face. Acne also sometimes appears on the upper back and chest regions. This skin disease is not life threatening, but it can seriously damaging to a person’s confidence and self-esteem as acne pimples and scars, particularly facial acne, can be very unsightly and unattractive. For this reason many individuals spend a lot of money on products that claim to be acne solutions. And I am not here to put down the effectiveness of any product. All I will say is that there are cheaper, more natural remedies out there that are sometimes more effective than the chemical based solutions.
I should know because I have spent money in the past trying to cure my acne or at the very least get it to a tolerable stage. This was so important to me at the time because I took a fancy to this guy who told me that he was very superficial and that looks were very important to him. While I will not elaborate much on how that eventually turned out, I will only say that his statement alone was the start of major issues that had a devastating effect on my life. But I digress. In 2006 I visited a dermatologist and needless to say the expense was a bit too much plus I had to be applying too many topical creams and taking capsules, which I really hated. Not long after I gave up on that and pretty much decided for the next two years to ride out the acne train and deal with the flare ups when they occurred.

Gray Hair Shampoo (aka Grey Hair Shampoo)
As someone who has been getting way too many gray hairs way too early, I started doing some research on how to slow this down, or even reverse it altogether. As I was looking around, I started to read stuff about shampoo for gray hair. Here I just want to share a little of what I’ve learnt about this stuff.
My first thoughts when I started reading up on shampoo for grey hair, was, is it that the shampoo helps reverse or slow down the graying? Or is it that the shampoo makes the gray hairs look and feel better (ie. basically taking care of the hair)? Or is it that the shampoo colours the hair so that the greys become less noticeable? What exactly does gray hair shampoo refer to?
As it turns out, they have shampoos that cater to all three questions that came to mind. However, for the first question, I don’t think they actually claim reversal of the greying. Some grey hair shampoo products do claim a delay in the graying process though. If you are interested in reversing gray hair to its natural colour, you might be interested in this article on how to reverse gray hair.
It is said that omega 3 can penetrate the hair follicles, and does help to preserve the natural hair colour. So if you still have non-gray hair, you could try looking for shampoo with omega 3.
One shampoo that I learnt about which is supposed to help preserve your natural hair color is Emu shampoo. Please note that I am not trying to sell anything here, and I do not really know how effective this shampoo is. But if you’ve tried it, or you decide you will try it, please report back here and tell how it worked for you. Share your experiences so that others can benefit too.

How To Lose Weight -the simple and sure way!
Are you one of the many fat women who wants to lose weight? Well you’ve come to the right place. I’m going to give you some very simple, but effective instructions, that if followed, will bring you down to size and have you losing weight quickly, and even keeping it off. Guys, don’t worry, this will work for you too, so keep on reading.
Ok, first thing. Just forget all those schemes and programmes and diets you see advertised especially in infomercials. All you really need to do is stop eating and drinking. That’s right, stop eating and drinking. At least for a day.
What this does is cause your stomach to shrink so that you’ll feel full for eating less. Make sure you don’t over eat after you’ve gone to the trouble of shrinking the stomach. So when you begin to feel full, stop eating. Because you’ll end up eating less, you’ll tend to lose weight.
Once you’ve followed the above instructions, repeat it maybe a week later. Just make it a regular interval until you’re satisfied with the results. So stop eating again for at least a day (ie. 24 hours), then eat amounts to match the reduced size of your stomach.
As your stomach gets smaller, you’ll realise that you don’t have too much space to spare, so you’ll need to make sure that what you eat counts. In other words, you’ll find that you better eat nutritious stuff, otherwise you’ll get full on fluff, and find your health deteriorating.
Ok that’s it. Follow my method and you’ll lose the fat. You can speed things up by combining this procedure with some exercise. You’ll definitely lose weight when you do these things, and morph into the nice body you desire.

The Healing Wonders of Herbs -a look at burdock
Burdock is another herb I wish to highlight. The root is used in the treatment of a host of ailments and is reputed to be one of the best blood purifiers around. It rapidly purges the blood of toxins. Liberal consumption of the tea will clear almost any skin disease. Burdock is one of the chief herbs used in treating gout, rheumatism, syphilis, gonorrhea, canker sores and leprosy.

The Healing Wonders of Herbs -a look at chickweed
The first herb I want to highlight is called chickweed. Chickweed is a blood purifier, restorative and energizer. It is a superb remedy for colds, bronchitis, pleurisy and weakness of the bowels.
Â
Tea made from the herb is soothing and is excellent for almost any type of internal inflammation. In fact it is touted to be a remedy for some cancer complaints. The tea or a poultice of the herb is also used externally to clear up skin eruptions and diseases.
Â
I can recall an incident some years ago that triggered my view of chickweed as a miracle herb. I had noticed that a small area of skin below my right knee had the appearance of some fungal infection. My mother had prepared some chickweed tea earlier that day and I remembered her always saying that chickweed was great for skin problems. So I went and drained a bit of the chickweed from the tea she had prepared and placed it on the infected spot. I covered it with a band aid. Several hours later I removed the band aid and the chickweed. Lo and behold, the appearance of the skin was normal. No hint at all of any fungal infection. Miraculous results!
Â
This herb may be a bit of an annoyance to some, as it is a diuretic, and a mild laxative, meaning consumption of this herb will see you making more frequent trips to the bathroom. But take comfort in knowing that it is a process that is ridding your body of toxins. Chickweed is a must have for every homeÂ

The Healing Wonders of Herbs -a look at rosemary
The next herb that has proven useful to me is rosemary. Similarly to chickweed, it is great for coughs and colds. It is a wonderful treatment for nervous conditions and can cure headaches caused by nervousness. It is good as a mouthwash.
Many will be interested to know that this herb actually eliminates bad breath, even chronic cases. The tea is excellent for this because it tackles the root problem of bad breath, which actually has its genesis in the stomach and not the mouth. Regular mouthwash will keep a person’s breath fresh for a few hours at most. Rosemary tea will leave you with fresh breath up to as many as several days. Try it. You have nothing to lose.
Â
Finally, this herb can be used as the last rinse for the hair after shampooing, as it is strengthening to the hair roots.

The Healing Wonders of Herbs -Introduction
Herbs are generally deemed to be therapeutic and of great curative value to man. However, many of us are not aware of their healing properties. Getting Rid of Stretch Marks -Does TriLastin Work?
Someone I know has these unbecoming stretch marks, and was wondering if there is anything outside of surgery that could remove them. Apparently the suggested solutions like cocoa butter and snail slime do not work, or are not very effective, especially for long standing stretch marks.
I started doing some research on this and I came across a product called TriLastin System 2. Based on testimonials and before and after pictures (on the site selling it), it seems to be effective. But anyone selling a product usually finds a way to make it seem like something to buy. So my challenge is to find objective testimonials.
One problem is that there is an affiliate programme associated with TriLastin System 2, which offers a supposedly nice commission. This is not a problem to the seller. But for the buyer who wants to make sure she is reading real honest testimonials, it can be somewhat difficult to attain this confidence. Since the product is not cheap, and one has to use it for some months to see real effects, one naturally would want to really know that TriLastin System 2 is not a waste of time, that it is really worth it to get it now.
So to assist my friend, and others who are in a similar situation, I am requesting those of you who have used TriLastin System 2 to post here your experience with it. Does it really remove stretch marks?
Since this site is not attempting to sell TriLastin System 2, it can be an objective source for testimonials. Please do not put a link in your responses to your affiliate site for the product. These posts will be removed so as not to compromise the objectivity of the testimonials posted here.
So if TriLastin System 2 worked for you, post here and help others to share in the joy of stretch mark free skin. And do let us know how old your stretch marks were. If this product is a waste, help others to avoid making the mistake of getting it. Thanks!
